Zoetropes for Camille Henrot

I worked with artist Camille Henrot to fabricate and program a series of enormous, automated zoetropes complete with custom, parametric strobe illumination system. The show premiered at Metro Pictures in NYC.

The zoetropes, when activated by a visitor, spin up to a precise RPM and then begin strobing a ring of high-power LEDs that create the animation effect. The animations themselves are by Lena Greene.
